2012/13 family night schedule       

                                                 FAMILY NIGHTS

   We've been listening to what you have to say!
   We know your time is valuable, and through comments, suggestions and   
   the results of our annual needs assessment, you've made it clear that 
   when you have free time, you want to spend it with your kids! Instead of
   holding separate events for families (family nights) and parents (parent
   workshops), all our events will be family events, with a parent education
   component. This might include informative "commercials" at Bingo for
   Books, take home information and activities or information for parents
   given while children are working on part of a family project. We will also be
   expanding the parent information part of this website. Title 1 will continue
   to inform you about important educational topics and how to help your
   child(ren) at home, but in a way which fits your schedule and preferences.


   What are family nights? Title 1 family nights are fun, educational
   activities for the whole family. Children must be accompanied by an adult
   when participating in family nights. Most elementary school events have
   activities for grades K-5. If an event is geared to a specific grade level, the
   description will clearly indicate this. Middle School events are suitable for
   grades 6-8.

   Where do family nights take place? In order to offer a variety of
   events, Title 1 family nights are hosted by individual schools, but are open
   to families from all Westfield Schools. Get directions to Title 1 schools
