Special Education is provided for students who have a diagnosed disability that requires specialized instruction in order to access the general education curriculum.  In order to receive Special Education Services a student will need to be evaluated and a Team Meeting will need to be held to discuss the results of the evaluation.  The Team would then need to determine if a disability exists, if the disability impacts the student's success, and if the student will require specialized instruction.  If the student is found eligible, then the Team would then develop an "Individualized Education Program" (IEP).  The parent will receive a copy of the finalized IEP in the mail and will be required to accept, partially accept or reject prior to the student receiving specialized instruction.
