Dewey House

Third graders across the city interacted with Westfield history this spring with classroom lessons on Revolutionary-era history in the city, and visits to the historical Dewey House.

Jennifer Thielen, a first-year teacher at Franklin Avenue Elementary School, took the lessons a little further, creating a picture quilt of drawings her students had made of events they learned about. The quilt was on display during the Dewey House’s open house on June 4, at 87 S. Maple St., Westfield.
