The Tigers and the Bombers are getting together to form one team for track and field this spring.

Athletic Director Ryan Dunphy said the two-year co-op agreement between Westfield Technical Academy and Westfield High School, in which WTA boys and girls can join WHS teams, is about giving students the opportunity to compete and allowing WHS to have a fuller program. Last year, the WTA boys had a co-op with Southwick Regional School; there has never been a girls track program at WTA. The cross-country teams, which compete in the fall, will remain separate.
