Westfield Technical Academy Students visited Fort Meadow Early Childhood Center today to give the Pre-K students a glimpse into their shops! Students were able to plant and keep a marigold with Horticulture; identify airplane parts, and play a balloon pop game with Aviation; listen to their heartbeats with Allied Health; play a reaction game that was made by the students in Information Technology; see how magnets are used to start a car with Automotive Technology; and, color and take home a unique coloring book produced by the students in Graphic Arts. Students from both schools had a wonderful time. Thanks to all involved for a wonderful opportunity!

Fort Meadow is "revved up" for its annual Transportation Day. Students from Westfield Technical Academy and representatives of the State Police, Westfield Police, Westfield Gas & Electric, Westfield Fire Department, Interstate Towing and Degray’s Service, brought their cars and trucks to Fort Meadow on April 5 to the delight of preschoolers. Students stood in line, learned about the vehicles and what they do, and had the opportunity to climb in for themselves. This was an amazing opportunity for our students to be able to learn about our community helpers and the vehicles that they use to perform many jobs. Many thanks to all for making this event successful!

Today, Mr. Dargie and his Westfield High School students visited all of our preschool classrooms to teach our students about one type of transportation. Topics included boats and trains in the morning and canals and roads in the afternoon. Mr. Dargie's students did an amazing job presenting their transportation lessons to our preschool students. It was a fun learning experience for all of us!
