Reading takes you places. Franklin Avenue has an awesome summer reading program thanks to the efforts of our Reading Specialist, Mrs. Ayers, and Literacy Assistant, Mrs. Creech. This year Franklin Avenue's students will be, "Traveling Through the Pages." When students read over the summer, they will earn passport stamps to fill their reading passports. When they return in the fall, students will have a chance to win cool prizes when they return their passports. Thanks to a generous donation from our Franklin PTO, students will be given a travel bag with all the necessary items to take home to participate. "Flight Attendants Ayers and Creech" delivered the packages and explained the program to students on Tuesday. Our students have made so much progress in reading this year, and we want to ensure that families have support so their children do not experience the "summer slide" in reading progression.
