Mrs. Duval's 2nd grade class took on the challenge of this Project Lead the Way module titled, "Properties of Matter." In this module they learned about: solids, liquids, and gasses, reversible vs. irreversible changes, as well as heat insulators and conductors. They conducted experiments to discover what materials would work best to save an ice pop from melting. In small groups they designed, created, and tested their own coolers. These 2nd graders put their engineering skills to the test - and many groups saved the ice pop!
