We are continuously working on improving our overall student attendance. All absences count and are important when looking at each student. Excused absences have just as significant of an impact on student achievement as unexcused. We still report excused absences to the Commonwealth.
Did you know that the attendance rate of students in 6th grade is used as an indicator of student drop out rates? Poor attendance can influence whether a child's reading proficiency level by 3rd grade. Attendance is so important to a student's success. Please remember to send your child to school regularly. Students at the Virtual School must log into each of their classrooms daily. If your child is going to be absent, please call the school at 642-9321.
