Dear Students, Parents, and Caregivers,
I want to reach out to all of our WTA families and let you know how excited we are to see our students on the first day on Wednesday, August 30th. Our staff is working feverishly to get the building ready for the first day. Along with that we have been busy all summer hiring new staff members to fill our vacancies.
With that said, we are under NEW MANAGEMENT! I have taken on the role of Interim Principal for the 2023-24 school year. Mr. Daniel Paquette has joined us from Westfield High School to be one of our Assistant Principals. Mr. Daley and Mr. Taloumis are returning which rounds out our administrative team. Despite the changes this is an administrative team with many years of combined experience, so we are expecting to have an exciting and fun-filled year in academics as well as shops!
Students will be let in the building at 7 AM on the 30th. Students in Grade 9 will report to the auditorium in the upper campus where they will receive a copy of their class schedules. Grade 12 students will report to their first period class for academic weeks. Teachers will be on the 3rd floor handing out copies to any student who needs one. Grades 10 + 11 will report directly to their shop and should be dressed accordingly. The PowerSchool Student/Parent Portal is scheduled to be open on Tuesday, August 22nd.
Fall sports have already kicked off but it is not too late for students to sign up and join our fall sport teams. Please reach out to WTA if you need information on joining a fall sports team. WTA offers girl's and boys' soccer, girl's and boy's cross-country and golf during the fall season. Get involved in our teams and as always GO TIGERS!!!!!
