Graduation Day
The Class of ‘26 graduated on Bullens Field last Thursday night, June 4th. It was a wonderful evening, and a huge thank you to all of the staff that attended. The students were wonderful as they enjoyed their ceremony on a beautiful evening in front of a large crowd. Class of ‘27 is on deck!
Senior Picnic
Last week, after the awards ceremony, the seniors were able to have one last fun event as a class with a picnic on Jachym Field. The event was a blast, and the students were very grateful to have an opportunity to sign yearbooks and decorate their graduation caps. Thanks to everyone that was involved for creating a memory that will last them a lifetime!
Keeping the Legacy Alive
Elias Layng, seen here completing the hardware portion of his weeklong competition at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, came home with some proud achievements. Elias now holds the school's third bronze medal at the National level, as well as the fifth medal overall since Westfield Technical Academy first began participating in SkillsUSA. The competition that Elias took part in, Internet of Things (Smart Home), is a fairly new program—this is the third year that Massachusetts students have been able to actively participate. That marks three years and three medals, with a promising outlook over the next two years as Elias is only a sophomore and is hoping to get back to Nationals next year.
Congratulations, Elias, for your extraordinary accomplishment! We will be watching to see your future endeavors in the competition landscape.
League Champions, Looking Forward to Next Year
Congratulations to the WTA Varsity Baseball team for a highly successful season. The Tigers represented our school and all of Westfield and carried on the proud tradition of baseball excellence. Our Tigers ended up as League Champions, made it to the semi-finals of the Western Mass Tournament, advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the Massachusetts D5 State Tournament where they lost a heartbreaker to Maynard and finished as the Runner-Up in the MVADA Small School State Vocational Tournament. Thank you to all of the seniors for their dedication to the program. See you at Bullens next season!

Saturday School takes place as a venue for students to get extra help with schoolwork as well as make up hours of school. It is also used as an alternative remedy when using student discipline. It runs from 8-10:30am on select Saturdays. Students should meet Ms. Markowski at the main entrance to the school on Smith Ave.
