At Westfield Public Schools, we remain committed to ensuring that every student is supported, engaged, and prepared for success beyond graduation. I am proud to share several significant achievements that reflect the dedication of our students, families, educators, counselors, and administrators across the district.
Over the past two years, the district has seen meaningful progress in key student outcome measures. The overall dropout rate for Westfield Public Schools decreased from 2.1% in the 2023–2024 school year to 1.5% in 2024–2025. This improvement represents the collective efforts of our staff to build strong relationships with students, provide targeted supports, and create learning environments where every student feels connected, valued, and empowered to succeed.
We also celebrate a substantial increase in our district’s four-year graduation rate, which rose from 90.2% to an impressive 94%. This achievement demonstrates the resilience and determination of our students, as well as the unwavering commitment of our teachers, counselors, support staff, and administrators who work tirelessly every day to guide students toward success. Their dedication to academic excellence, student wellness, and individualized support continues to make a profound difference in the lives of our students.
I would also like to acknowledge Westfield High School for its continued progress. The school improved its four-year graduation rate from 92.1% to 93.5%, reflecting the focused work being done by faculty, counselors, and school leaders to strengthen student engagement, monitor progress, and provide the supports necessary for students to thrive both academically and personally.
A special congratulations goes to Westfield Technical Academy for an extraordinary accomplishment during the 2024–2025 school year. Westfield Technical Academy achieved a 0% dropout rate while also earning a perfect 100% four-year graduation rate. These exceptional results speak to the remarkable commitment of the school’s teachers, career technical instructors, counselors, shop assistants, paraprofessionals, and administrators who create a supportive and innovative environment where students are inspired to excel.
These achievements are not simply statistics; they represent students whose lives have been positively impacted through perseverance, encouragement, and opportunity. They also reflect the extraordinary work happening throughout our district every day. I am deeply grateful to our educators, counselors, support personnel, administrators, families, and community partners for their continued dedication to our students and to the mission of Westfield Public Schools.
