Dear Westfield Public School Families and Staff,
Last week, the Westfield School Committee voted to rescind the district mask policy, and made mask wearing voluntary effective February 28, 2022. This change is also effective for all extracurricular activities, including athletics. Per the federal mandate, masks are still required for public transportation, which includes school buses.
While the mandate has been lifted, Westfield Public Schools is committed to supporting all students and staff that choose to continue wearing masks. We expect that all members of our school community will respect individual choices. Please reach out to your building principal with questions and concerns.
