Teachers held a Messy May Science Night at Fort Meadow Early Childhood Center from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on May 12, where preschoolers and their families were able to visit a worm station, a “goop” station, planting and butterfly feeder stations, play with seashells and watch a working volcano erupt.

Longtime preschool and special education teacher Sherreen Sloan, who organized the event with new teacher Amy O’Meara, said about 35 people came to the popular event, which was being held for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
