Late Friday, the CDC announced that, effective February 25, 2022, it is no longer requiring that masks be worn on school buses or vans for K-12 students and children in childcare programs. As a reminder, any individual who wishes to continue to mask will be supported in that choice. The Westfield Education to Business Alliance (WE2BA) is proud to present the 2022 Career Expo & Job Fair, hosted by our partner, Westfield State University, at the Woodward Center.
DATE/TIME: Thursday, April 7th, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
WE2BA is encouraging business owners, employers, and company representatives to take part in this important day of learning and local opportunities. Please join us! You will very likely employ an alumnus of Westfield Public Schools someday soon.
At our annual Career Expo and Job Fair, students in grade 11 from Westfield High School and Westfield Technical Academy have the opportunity for career exploration and are able to broaden their outlook on specific career pathways. Students may also find potential job shadows, internships, cooperative education placements, and other employment opportunities. Representation from a variety of sectors and industries is a priority for WE2BA, so please scan the QR code on our poster or click on the link below to be a part of this exciting event. Westfield Technical Academy announced this week that Allied Health senior Katelynn Pellegrini, daughter of Lorelei Pellegrini of Westfield and Frederick Pellegrini of Montgomery, has been named the Outstanding Vocational Student of the Year.
Ranked fifth in the senior graduating class with a GPA of 96.3871, Pellegrini passed her nurse aide written competency and practical exam to receive certification on June 4, 2021, as a Certified Nurse Assistant. Congratulations!

Commissioner Riley announced that he is extending the mask requirement in schools through Monday, February 28. The MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will continue to work with medical experts and state health officials to evaluate the mask requirement beyond February 28.
